I haven't used the programs long enough to know all the tools, but one tool that seems to be unique to AZDrawing is the rotation tool that lets you freely rotate the image no multitouch gesture to do this though. It'll be interesting to see what AzPainter has to offer.

So what's the difference? And I oddly liked that it was limited-- it's only good really at drawing and inking, and it kept me on task. AZDrawing seems to be aimed more at sketching. We use this information to help you open your files. Ha, seems cruel to show this azpainteg2 customizable way too afterwards, but the previous method is useful for making custom textures and other options.
